Planning Theology Lockdown Podcast

THE STORY GOES….

Robbie Carpenter, Ben Winters, Mark Murray, and Jacob Watson coalesced through a prison bible study at Joseph Harp Correctional Center called Theology Throwdown. We began kicking the idea around for a podcast, inspired by other prison podcasts we followed online, sometime in the early part of 2025. Once the idea grew to fullness we pitched it to the Department of Corrections around the middle of the year and were in a holding pattern for nearly six months before receiving a green light to execute on our vision of the podcast as we had offered it to ODOC.

Prepping for the show, in December 2025 we recorded a trial-run episode at John Lilley Correctional Center by mapping out a topic, recording, editing, and finally reviewing it to see how it felt overall and what needed to be changed and corrected moving forward.

SUPPORT THE MISSION: REACHING THE INSIDE 🕊️

Our mission goes beyond these microphones. We are dedicated to sharing these discussions and "wrestlings" within the prison system, getting this podcast directly into prison cells where brothers and sisters are struggling with the same questions we face out here. Your support helps us bridge that gap.
